Using subject terminology accurately to support analysis.
This strand is the heart of the academic study of English and is consistent across Edexcel IGCSE and AQA GCSE. Functional Skills doesn’t test language analysis at Level 2 — its focus is on functional comprehension rather than literary critique — so this strand has no FS overlay.
