NEO’s chosen FS awarding body (Kirstin’s call, 5 May 2026, ~99% confidence). Underlying standard: Ofqual’s Functional Skills Subject Content for English / Maths (2018) — the awarding-body-neutral foundation against which all FS specs are written.
NEO does not register learners with Pearson Edexcel for FS exams. Learners register through their LA, commissioner, or via Pass Functional Skills as the standard registering route. NEO delivers the curriculum and supports revision via bksb.

Entry 1 / Entry 2 / Entry 3 levels are populated where individual learners require them, branching from the Level 1 folders.
Tests canonical
Each FS outcome page wikilinks to the canonical Life and Work node it tests, and (where it overlaps) to canonical KS4 outcomes — for example, FS English L2 Reading R1 overlaps with the canonical KS4 English Reading node tested by Edexcel IGCSE 4EA1 AO1 and AQA GCSE English Language AO1.
