NEO’s primary qualification framework for Year 1, per the Curriculum Rationale v2.0. Edexcel chosen for: equivalence to UK GCSEs, modular assessment route, onscreen-assessment options for English Language and Literature (from 2023), portfolio-based Art and Design assessment, broad subject range (37 subjects available), and clear stable specifications.
NEO does not run exam centres. For Edexcel IGCSE entry, learners are expected to be registered via their LA’s chosen exam centre, Pearson’s online assessment route (where the onscreen option exists), or a NEO-recommended partner exam centre — open question, schema §10 Q2.
